Critical Exposure taught us to take pictures of our everyday lives so we can get in touch with people who do not understand what is going on in the DC public schools.
Critical Exposure's work is made possible through the generous support of concerned individuals like you. To contribute to Critical Exposure you can donate online via the Catalogue for Philanthropy, Network for Good, or GlobalGiving, or you may send us a check. All contributions are tax deductible.
Critical Exposure is a nonprofit that teaches youth to use the power of photography and their own voices to become effective advocates for school reform and social change. By empowering young people to develop skills as documentary photographers and advocates, we expose citizens and policymakers to the reality of inadequate schools and low-income communities through the eyes of the students who confront those realities everyday. Our volunteers make a difference everyday, learn how you can too.
Critical Exposure partners with public schools, after-school programs, and other youth-serving organizations to implement series of workshops in photography and advocacy. Interested in partnering with Critical Exposure in your school or community?
