Critical Exposure partnered with the D.C. Promise Neighborhood Initiative’s (DCPNI). DCPNI is a new organization focused on improving educational outcomes for young people in the Kenilworth and Parkside neighborhoods of Northeast D.C. Students partnered with the D.C. Campaign to Prevent Teen Pregnancy to create public service announcements and other outreach materials designed to educate youth and adults about the extremely high rate of pregnant and parenting teens in low-income areas of D.C.

The program culminated in a multimedia exhibit at Busboys & Poets with Yvette Alexander, D.C. Councilmember for Ward 7. Malik T., a Critical Exposure Fellow and high school senior, co-facilitated this program as part of our first Summer Youth Facilitator Institute.
