Students in Austin photographed their schools and the ways in which they felt No Child Left Behind has impacted their education. The photographs were used as part of a public hearing on NCLB held by the Public Education Network and Austin Voices for Education and Youth.

  • Armed officers patrolling the school grounds. Passing them in the halls is unsettling; sometimes they give you a look like they think you’re up to something. You can feel their power when they walk among students. They don’t make me feel safer- just the opposite.
